Driver assisting technology in vehicles is becoming more verified, more widely installed and used. Radar cruise controls, automatic braking, and lane departure monitors to name three.

Safety revolved features like these are stages of innovation important for the progress of automotives. The dual reliance on both the driver and the car to keep the driver, passenger and fellow road users safe.

 

YouGov Statistics

International polling by YouGov in 17 key markets tells us that 43 percent of buyers feel nervous when imagining self-driving vehicles. YouGov asked respondents whether they coincide with ‘the idea of self-driving makes me nervous.'

Some drivers are undecided, 27 percent are neutral regarding the self-driving nerves, 7 percent cannot decide. About 24 percent are opposed to the statement.

 

The Data

YouGov insights to 28 percent of US buyers being nervous about the idea of self-driving cars. It turns out UK drivers are extra nervous about the concept, rounding off to 62 percent. A majority recording in France and Australia are also nervous regarding it.

The organisation in ownership of Waymo, Alphabet: the forefront of the action in the US, is conscious of the nerves, launching an initiative open to people- named Let's Talk Autonomous Driving.

A 34 percent drivers score for Mexico, not feeling nervous, India rank at 29 percent; a place where the ownership of cars has soared in a recent span of years. Denmark hits 30 percent.

 

Tesla's Claim in Company's Future Ability

Tesla claimed to have their vehicles ready for level 5 ability by late 2021. In other words this is full automation. 


The Rules

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administrator drew up updated rules influencing self- driving vehicles after much hesitation. Sturdy regulations now also consist of laws for cars lacking steering wheels, seats or pedals.  

 

Are we Ready?

The question is- are we ready for self-driving features, or self-driving cars? Taking your hands off the wheel, allowing yourself to let go of the control that that always kept you safe when done right. It's a strange idea to get used to. If the technology is flawless, then it's an impressive concept.
