New Dacia Spring to be the UK’s cheapest electric vehicle.

Europe's most affordable electric car, the Dacia Spring, is heading to the UK in March, starting at around £14,995. First introduced in 2021, it became the third best-selling electric car to regular customers across Europe in 2022 and 2023.

The Dacia Spring offers a budget-friendly option for those looking for zero-emission travel. It's designed for short trips, covering about 23 miles per day at an average speed of 23 mph. Since its launch, the Spring has been improving, with a new look in 2022 and a more powerful 65bhp motor in 2023.

UK customers can get their hands on the Dacia Spring starting March 12th, priced between £14,995 and £18,000. According to David Durand, Dacia's Design Director, the Spring showcases the companies new design direction and is a significant addition to the Dacia family.

The Spring's modern design includes 15-inch wheels, roof bars, and comes in six colours, including Brick Red and Beige Safari. Inside, it features digital screens, with a customisable seven-inch display on all models and a 10-inch multimedia screen.

Weighing just under a ton, the fully-electric Spring comes with a compact 26.8 kWh battery, providing a range of over 137 miles, ideal for city driving. Compared to other electric vehicles in the UK, which can range from £29,000 to £40,000, the Dacia Spring offers a more affordable option.
