The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) corroborates this data, reporting a slightly higher average range of 236 miles for EVs.

Newer EV models equipped with advanced battery technologies boast even greater ranges. For instance, the Polestar 3 boasts an impressive range of 379 miles, while the Polestar 2 and the latest Tesla Model 3 offer ranges of 406 miles and 391 miles.

Topping the list for the highest range EV in the UK is the Mercedes EQS, which boasts a claimed range of 458 miles on a single charge. This exceptional range can be attributed to its large 107.8 kWh battery pack and aerodynamically efficient design.

However, it's crucial to note that these range figures are based on WLTP official testing standards and may vary in real-world driving conditions, especially in colder temperatures.
