News: Potential Powerpaste could Act as Additional Fuel

Climate change is evidently here, the future influences of the here and now will play out. Plenty of innovators, engineers, are looking to seek other methods, other sources of fuel for vehicles.

The Fraunhofer Institute produced hydrogen paste that could revolutionise the industry. A driver only needs to swap the old cartridge for a new one and fill a water tank to refuel. The range can be compared to gasoline and could extend possibilities for drones.

The Hydrogen Industry

Our hydrogen industry, why this sphere? Gaining an expected revenue of $2.5 trillion by 2050 by revenue, extending their competing with Tesla's products. It is positioned to expand a lot during the next few years.

The range could match or possibly exceed gasoline range.

How could it be Used?

Implications of using this are viable options for auto's, fuel cells meant for portable use on camping journeys, and if drones are your profession- it may largely increase chances of drone usage.

Where else is it being Used?

Flights. Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos supported ZeroAvia, who are building hydrogen fuelled flights.

 When will it be Released?

Estimated late 2021, a yearly capacity in production of 4 tonnes.

Logistics

Powerpaste is a new development by IFAM based in Germany, easier to be applied in small vehicles.

The creation is kept in cartridge form inside the vehicle, with a magnesium base. All motorists have to do is swap out the old for a new cartridge and pour water in the tank.

Energy Storage Density

Is significantly large, higher than a 700 bar high-pressure tank, compared to batteries. 10 times the storage density.
