Blog: Is This The Best Police Car Fleet In The World?

As you'd expect from one of the richest countries in the world, the Dubai Police supercar fleet is pretty impressive.

The United Arab Emirates is one of the richest countries in the world. It capital, Dubai, has seen major development over the last few decades making it the 14th most expensive city in the world (by last count).

Supercars are a common sight across Dubai and the Dubai Police have a pretty impressive fleet of their own to keep up.

What cars do the Dubai Police drive?

Mercedes-AMG GT63 S

Powered by a thunderous AMG 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine. This performance saloon can do 0-62mph in 3.2 seconds and maxes out at around 198mph. Surprisingly this is probably one of the least exotic cars on the fleet.

Maserati GranTurismo

One of only 28,805 vehicles produced, Dubai Police purchased themselves this future Italian classic. With its 4.7 litre V8 engine, you might see it cruising the streets of Dubai in style.

Toyota 2021 GR Supra

One of the more affordable cars on the fleet, the new Supra cost the Dubai Police around £35,000, but its 3.0-litre engine doesn’t let the side down, doing 0-62mph in just 4.1 seconds, it’s electronically limited to 155mph.

Bugatti Veyron

The jewel in the crown of the Dubai Police stable, the Bugatti Veyron is one of the fastest street-legal production cars in the world. With a staggering 253mph top speed, the 16-cylinder engine produces 1,000 horsepower and can do 0-60mph in a mind blowing 2.5 seconds.

Mercedes-Benz G63

Following the popularity of the “G Wagon” with the wealthy residents of Dubai, the Police wanted to keep up with the trend and purchased this in 2020. This G63 has a mean 4 litre V8 and is ready for action on and off-road.

Aston Martin One-77

The Aston Martin One-77 is a design classic and was one of just 77 vehicles produced. It’s on the pricier side of the fleet costing around $1.8 million but this 7.3 litre V12 supercar tops out at around 220mph and sprints 0-60 in 3.7 seconds.

Lamborghini Aventador

Originally limited to just 4,000 vehicles, this V12 Aventador was snapped up by the Dubai Police and given a fresh lick of green and white paint. Back in 2013 when it first joined the fleet the car cost around $500,000 and was one of their first supercar purchases.

Bentley Continental GT

Adding a touch of class to the Dubai Police fleet, the Bentley Continental GT has a huge 6.0litre engine and tops out at 197mph making sure the police get where they need to on time (and in style).

BMW i8

The first plug-in hybrid car on the Dubai Police fleet, the BMW i8 still has an impressive 362 horsepower. This model was one of the first hybrid cars in their growing electrical fleet.

Mercedes-Benz SLS

The now classic V8 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG with its iconic gull wing doors, joined Dubai’s impressive fleet, but more recently has been flown around the world to take part in Classic Car Races.

Aston Martin Vantage

One of the newer additions to the fleet, the Aston Martin Vantage joined the supercar fleet intime for the 2020 Dubai Expo. With it’s 4-litre twin-turbo V8 it doesn’t have a problem keeping up with the rest, topping out at 195 mph it can do 0-60 in 3.5 seconds.

Audi R8

Dubai Police recently purchased two of these Audi R8 Coupes, housing a V10, 5.2 litre engine, they can reach top speeds of 198mph and hit 0-60mph in just 3.7 seconds.

Ferrari FF

Probably one of the more obscure Ferraris to opt for, the FF was the first model to offer all-wheel-drive but keeping the screaming V12 engine. With its shooting brake design the car has four seats and a decent size boot, so weirdly one of the more practical cars on the fleet.
