What is a Clean Air Zone?

An area effort to stop the air pollution and traffic strongly residing in the cities atmosphere. In order to do this- fees will be introduced upon vehicles with high pollution stats, mainly in the city centre, to help fight the problem.

Impact on Commuters & Workers

University members, workers and residents can access a webinar in 2021 June 1- going live, discussing the how exactly the Clean Air Zone will impact them.

Inducements & Exclusions

As with all things- there is a range of inducements and exclusions for people who work in the zone, who live there. The purpose of the webinar is to direct answers towards University bodies based in Birmingham, and give a detailed account of how to operate, and what you can or cannot do. Of course- they can ask questions too.

BVLRA Response to De-Carbonisation

The BVRLA replied to the Department of Transport's call. The conclusive response was split into- managing a shift to active transport (public), and decarbonising how we obtain goods.

Workshops Occurred & Concluded:

·    The importance of leasing, rental and fleet sectors

·      Phasing out sales of petrol, diesel and hybrid vehicles

·      Support needs to be allocated all various sectors.

So, basically, the skies are going to be cleaner, the Vehicle Industry is going to be improved in practise with physical Clean Air Zones- and it's all happening in 2021.

Maybe it's time to go EV, go cleaner.

Be prepared for it.
