Blog: Doubling of Market Share for Battery Electric and Hybrid Vehicles

Battery electric vehicles and plug in hybrids prove a mixed double market share.

The Soar

This soar was nudged by the amount of market models. Now the number stands at 116 as opposed to an earlier 72. Reaching 22,003 units BEV registrations rose, PHEVs increased by 152.2 percent to 17,330. 21,599 registrations of hybrid electric vehicles soared were reached, rising to 42.0 percent. Battery electric vehicles and plug in hybrids proved a mixed together double market share, year after year, the stats showing a 7.3 percent rating to a 13.9 percent score.

 

Van Registrations

A significant increase in van registrations was recorded. Heavier van vehicles recorded the highest rise, they doubled to a total of 36,032.

 

The UK New Car Market

UK new car market saw increase in units opposed to the previous March by 29,280 units.

 

2021 Statistics

The year of 2021 saw a recording of 58,032 fewer cars being registered compared the first half of 2020.

 

Fleet Success

It appears vehicle fleets- have been responsible for the actual car market growth increase. We witnessed a registration rise by 28.7 percent.

 

Retail Consumer Demand

Retail demand by consumer decreased by numbers -4.1 percent when analysing 2020 March stats.
